Earn an English as a Second Language (ESL) Endorsement at EKU in Summer 2022

Eastern Kentucky University is offering an entire English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement in Summer 2022.  The ESL endorsement is offered 100% online over the course of two six-week terms. Additionally, EKU is reducing the summer tuition rate to $395 per credit hour for practicing teachers and waiving the application fee!

Term A:  May 23-July 1

• EMS 777 Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Teaching
• EMS 776 Assessment for ELLs

Term B:  July 5-August 12

• EME 751 Linguistics in the Curriculum
• EMS 775 Methods for Multilingual Learners

Must pass the required Praxis II exam after completing courses to add endorsement teaching license

• Apply at EKU's Graduate School
• Enter which term you would like to start classes (Summer A or Summer B)
• In the Graduate Student Applications, choose “Certificate, Rank, or Endorsement”
• Complete the application
